“June in Bulgaria” 2016

with Iliana Bozhanova and Todor Yankov

15th to 28th June 2016 (14 days)

Our good friends Iliana Bozhanova and Todor Yankov are inviting dance enthusiasts to join them on a tour of Western Thrace, the Rhodope Mountains and Pirin in June 2016.

Those of us who went on their Easter in Bulgaria tour in 2014 know to expect an all-encompassing itinerary planned and executed by the supreme expert in the field.  Yes, we’ll take in the essential sites like the Rila Monastery and Melnik but also meet authentic local folklore groups as we visit five towns in this beautiful region, staying at the best hotels.  Add the dance and singing workshops with Iliana and Todor plus special concerts by professional groups including the renowned Pirin Ensemble and we begin to see that this will be a truly outstanding tour.

The details are below, but feel free to contact me.

In a nutshell:

  • Stay at the best hotels in five towns.
  • Visit major attractions in this beautiful region.

  • Participate in dance and song workshops with Iliana and Todor.
  • Enjoy a special concert by the renowned Pirin Ensemble.

€1195 (€100 single supplement) per person

(For the understandable reason of managing her costs in Bulgaria with a stable currency, Iliana has quoted in Euros.  However, the dedicated UK bank account will be in Pounds sterling.  A £150 refundable deposit will secure a place on the tour.  The balance will have to be paid by the end of April 2016 – the exact amount calculated using the exchange rate (to buy Euros) in mid-April).

Air fares are not included - see booking form for suggested flights.  Expect the return fare from London to be from £200 using BA.  Early booking of flights should secure the best price and please ask about recommended agents.
